‘Gifts for the Home’ Exhibition Opens at Imagine
Looking for that perfect, one-of-a-kind piece of home décor?
Then check out “Gifts for the Home,” running throughout December at Imagine, the fine arts and fine craft gallery at 38 E. Genesee St., Skaneateles.
The exhibition opens Dec. 2 from 6 to 9 p.m., as part of the village’s First Friday celebration and Skaneateles Sings. Refreshments will be provided, along with entertainment by the Usual Suspects, an old-time string band.
The exhibition features original watercolors, wooden clocks and spoons, ceramic mugs, blown glass vases, and other handcrafted gifts at a variety of price points.
Artists represented include:
• Lucie Wellner, of Pompey, watercolor paintings
• Dennis MacDonald, of Fabius, brooms
• Emily Reason, of Marshall, N.C., porcelain pottery
• Rick Barrick, of Lancaster, Pa., candles
• Jonathan Simons, of Kempton, Pa., wooden spoons
• Schlabaugh & Sons, of Kalona, Iowa, clocks
“We invite everyone to stop by and enjoy the art and the ambiance, along with the holiday festivities going on throughout town,” says gallery co-owner Sarah Panzarella.
Imagine is located in the lakeside village of Skaneateles, nestled in the Finger Lakes region of Central New York. It represents artists from across the country and Canada, along with many Central New York artists, to create one of the most diverse contemporary art collections in the area.
The gallery is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, with extended holiday hours Dec. 14-24 (10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Christmas Eve day).
