Super Saturated: Pigment & Pattern is an exhibition of 29 works by 10 contemporary artists that use paint, collage, and mixed media to create vibrant works that emphasize color and pattern. Fold & Unfold: The Cloth and Quilts of Elin Noble will include approximately 20 works by Massachusetts-based fiber artist Elin Noble. Author of the book, Dyes and Paints, Noble is known for her quilts that incorporate hand-dyed cloth. Recent work by Skaneateles artist Thérèse Verley Strodel will be on view in Gallery Julius. June 27th – Owasco Lake Day 2012 – Emerson Park, 6914 East Lake Rd., Auburn.  Owasco Lake Day 2012 will feature a keynote address by Distinguished Fellow Frederick L. Kirschenmann, of the Leopold Center at Iowa State University.  Following the keynote address, a “Status of the Lake” panel, consisting of  Dr. John Halfman, of the Finger Lakes Institute, and Bruce Natale, from WQMA, will present information related to Owasco Lake.  Enjoy activities and games designed for children that will stress the importance of preserving and protecting the lake.  The popular resource fair and guided pontoon boat rides will again be held this year, along with a number of other activities.  Free, 3-7pm.
