Gettysburg – Book, Music, and Lyrics by: Jim & Deborah Schmitt                                                              It’s the spring of 1861 and two soldiers, best of friends, find they no longer serve side by side in the same army, but now command troops on opposing sides of the Civil War. Separated for two years, they are reunited on a battlefield south of the quaint Pennsylvania village of Gettysburg. August 3rd  – First Friday Events:                                                                          SHAKESPEARE AND SEWARD – Seward House Museum, 33 South St., Auburn.   As part of the First Friday event, the Seward House Museum will host the Ithaca Shakespeare Company and their production of “Taming of the Shrew” on Friday, August 3rd 6:00PM. The performance will take place in the Seward House garden and is free and open to the public.  The Seward House invites the people to bring picnics, snacks, drinks, blankets, and lawn chairs to come and enjoy this special ‘First Friday’ event. The Seward House will provide cookies and punch as well as entertainment for kids and families starting at 5pm before the 6pm performance.  Free.  315-252-1283
