August 3rd & 4th – “Last Call At The Oasis” – Auburn Public Theater, 108 Genesee St., Auburn.   Filmmaker Jessica Yu examines the looming global water crisis and what can be done to avoid it in this documentary. Last Call at the Oasis also examines what can be done to help save our freshwater supplies before it’s too late. August 4th –  “The Emperor’s New Clothes” – Boyle Center. 149 Genesee St., Auburn.  The Emperor’s New Clothes will be performed by the Merry-Go-Round Youth Theatre.  A fashion-obsessed Emperor, who is blinded by his search for the perfect wardrobe, hires two swindlers to sew his royal vestments. Hardly up to the task of creating these extravagant garments, the trickster “tailors” manage to convince the Emperor that their clothing can only be seen by the wisest people in the kingdom.
