The Cayuga Museum, in Auburn, is beginning a new monthly program. Called simply word., the new event will debut on Thursday, February 19 at 7:00 p.m. in Theater Mack. Writers can share their original work with the audience – poems, short stories, essays, segments of larger work, the spoken word, or more. Poetry, fiction or non-fiction, read or recited, word. is meant to celebrate the writer’s art and help local writers find their voice. To secure a spot on the evening’s program, writers can sign up in advance by emailing the museum at email@example.com, or calling 253-8051. Audience members or other spontaneous readers are welcome to share their work after those who have signed up in advance have read. There will be a $3 cover fee at the door and beer, wine and soft drinks will be available.
Word. is scheduled for the third Thursday of each month through May.
